Sept. 10th,
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
I know that most of you have heard of the passing of Deacon John Rasinski. We have been keeping him and his family in our prayers. I wanted to inform you of his funeral arrangements.
The funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14th, beginning at 9:30AM with the recitation of the Rosary and a few words of remembrance. The funeral mass will begin at 10:00AM. There will be a reception following with lunch.
Please continue to pray for the repose of his soul and for his family as well as our Parish.

Feast of the Transfiguration
Dear Friends and Parishioners,
The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a blood drive on Sunday, August 13th. There will be a van in the parking lot in front of the parish hall.
Religious education registration will begin the weekend of August 12th and 13th. We also need catechists to teach and assist with the education of the children of the parish. Contact Reina Goode at (505) 804-6939 if you’re able to help.
Collection for Catholic Charities will be next weekend. This is truly one of the most helpful Catholic Organizations in New Mexico. They have programs for children, parents, elderly and for so many who are in need. Wherever there is the suffering of poverty you are there helping because of the efforts you make on behalf of Catholic Charities of Central NM. Please donate to this wonderful effort on behalf of all of us to assist those who are most in need.
Job Openings: We have two job openings. The first is a Pastoral Administrator who is someone who assists the pastor with the basic administration of the office, overseeing such activities as financial transactions, volunteer management and scheduling, sacramental records, parish census and other administrative needs. We also have a maintenance position involving all service and repair of the parish building infrastructure, organizing service calls, regular maintenance on all systems and coordination with school maintenance. If you are interested, please bring in a resume and leave a message for Fr Tim.

Dear Friends and Parishioners,
I have been busy this week with funerals and anointings, so I didn’t have time to prepare the formal bulletin. Please be patient while I continue to work on organizing the administration of
the parish.
This week, we will be announcing one administrative and one maintenance position.
If you are interested, please pay attention to the website (stcharleschurchabq.org) for more information. We will post the information no later than Thursday and hopefully sooner.

Saint Vincent de Paul society would like to thank you for your generosity. Together with other parishes who have shared with us we have raised $13,927.00. 161 people have been helped through 87 phone and home visits. $19,041.74 of assistance was provided to our neighbors through rent, utilities, furniture, clothing, and food. Thank Saint Vincent de Paul Members!
Thanks to all the volunteers who have been answering phones, taking messages, and helping those who come to the door. You have been a great help!

Once again thank you for your warm welcome to the parish. I am happy to announce that we found a volunteer to assist us with repairing the sound system in the church.
Those of you who attended mass last Saturday know that there are problems with the air conditioning system (mass was short but the church was at 85 degrees). It has been temporarily patched and we will need to do further work to the system in the very near future.
Just reminder that Faith Formation for children will begin in September but registration will begin on the weekend of August 12th and 13th.
I will be formally installed as your pastor this Sunday at the 11:00am mass by Archbishop Wester. Know of my joy at becoming our pastor.

Peace and all Good!
I am so grateful for your welcome to St Charles Parish. My first two weeks have been eventful and very fulfilling. I am enjoying meeting all of you. As we continue to move forward, I have already begun meetings with groups in the parish beginning with the finance council. We are currently preparing our budget for this fiscal year and have already begun a review of our financial ability so that we may consider carefully how to restructure the parish administration to meet our pastoral needs. I am looking forward to the fruits of our planning. Hopefully, we will be opening the administrative employment positions in the next few weeks. Some of you may have noticed some work happening at the rectory. There were some soft spots in the floor and flooring tiles that were damaged by a leak that need to be replaced. The carpeting was also worn and in need of replacement. The walls also needed repainting. I consulted with the parish finance council and they recommended that repairs and upgrades be made and I have decided to follow their recommendation.
There are several volunteers who have volunteered to cover the front office and we continue to have office hours and we are working hard to be answer your phone calls. There are new instructions on the phone messages instructing families of those who are calling on behalf of someone who has an emergency - someone who is extremely ill and may be near death - to press a menu button and the call will be forwarded to the priest on call. I find the call to be with those who are very ill to be one of the most difficult and at the same time most fulfilling parts of my ministry. I wish to extend my thanks to all the volunteers who have come forward to assist during this important time. I also wish to thank the remaining parish staff, the deacons and their wives, and the parishioners who love this parish for their committed work on behalf of all of us.
I would also like to announce that Aundria Kroprowski is our new principal at St. Charles Borromeo school. She comes to us with years of classroom and administrative experience as well as great enthusiasm for the great work of educating our children and supporting their parents and our entire community.
Know that you are in my prayers and I hope that you pray for me also.
You are an amazing parish community and I am so grateful for the chance to serve you as pastor.

Here are some happenings at St. Charles this week.
- St. Charles is in need of Catechists, lectors, Eucharistic ministers and altar servers. Please be sure to sign up at the Parish office table.
- The office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
- We welcome Fr. Timothy Martinez this weekend, he is very excited to be at St. Charles.
- I will be retiring from the Parish Office Assistant position as of July 7. It is time for more travel and rest. It has been a joy and privilege helping you and getting to know you. I look forward to seeing you at mass on the weekends. You will always be in my prayers.

Happenings at St. Charles for you.

- There won’t be any confessions next Saturday due to the Deacon ordination in Santa Fe. There will be confessions after the masses this weekend.
- There will be parishioners collecting signatures for a legislative agenda that will have 6 bills that were passed in the last legislative session be put on the Nov 2024 General Election Ballot for the people to decide if they should become law or not. Please check out the table and learn about the issues.
- Funeral for Rudy Vigil will be June 7th. Rosary is at 10:00 and funeral is at 10:30.

Here are some updates for St. Charles
- We received a mandate from the Archbishop stating that we are unable to get signatures this weekend for the Legislative referendums.
- BINGO is on Sunday at 1pm. Come and have an afternoon of fun with good eats, friendly conversation and lots of prizes.
- Please join us for the rosary 30 minutes before each mass in church.
- The school is sponsoring a Golf Tournament in June. Please pick up a flyer at the Parish Office Table and join them in a day of fun.
- We lost 2 parishioners this week: Margot Marquez and Rudy Vigil. The funeral for Margot has not been set at this time.
- The funeral for Rudy Vigil will be June 7 at 10:00 rosary and 10:30 Mass. I will let you know if we receive any further information.

Here are the happenings at St. Charles:
- Father is leaving for his Pilgrimage to Spain on Monday. Please keep him and all the attendees in your prayers as they travel.
- Important announcement We are having many checks returned from the bank. We have been told that the Federal Reserve is no longer accepting
any checks with initials for errors or write overs. All checks need to be made payable to St. Charles Church. We are trying to get the returned checks
to you as quickly as we receive them. Thank you for any help you can give us, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
- Please join us for the rosary 30 minutes before each mass in church.
- There will be no 9am mass on May 18th. We will have 8th grade graduation mass at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.

What a beautiful Holy Week and Easter we had here at St. Charles. We thank you all for your help and support of St. Charles. You are what makes St. Charles wonderful and heartwarming. We are now having the precious blood at the masses. We are in need of Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers. Please consider this service at St. Charles. - Mercy Sunday services have been cancelled. There is a celebration at Santuario de Chimayo of the Divine Mercy Gazebo and many of the churches in Albuquerque are having special services as well.
- Please join us from April 27 to June 22 for another Bible Study. Living in the Power of the Holy Spirit is designed to help Catholics grow in their appreciation of the Third Person of the Holy Trinity and His power to transform lives in Christ. - There will be a blood drive on April 23rd at the Parish Hall from 10am to 1pm.

- The Divine Mercy service has been cancelled at St. Charles. All are invited to the dedication in Chimayo or you will find services in other churches around Albuquerque.
- The Divine Mercy novena begins today on Good Friday.
- The office will be closed until April 13. No mass on Tuesday or Wednesday
- Services on Saturday begin at 7:30 and on Sunday at 9am and 11am.

- The office will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after Easter. There won’t be a daily mass on those days. We will reopen on Thursday, April 13.
- Mercy Sunday services will be on Sunday, April 16 from 1:30pm-3:00pm. Confession, adoration, reflections and Divine Mercey Chaplet will all be part of the service.

Lent is winding down and we will soon be in Holy Week. We are preparing for the Holy Week services. We will need some volunteers for washing of the feet: Holy Thursday, holding the cross: Good Friday and other miscellaneous things. - Tuesday, March 28 is our parish penance service at 6pm. Mass that day will be at 9 am.
- There are envelopes on the Parish Office Table for Easter flowers. If you would like to donate in honor of a loved one, please pick one up and fill it out.
- There is a lady on the Spain trip with Father in May that is looking for a roommate. Father has the details if you are interested.
- As a required stipulation of the bankruptcy settlement, there is a letter from Archbishop Wester included in the bulletin.
- Holy Week services are: Holy Thursday, 7pm mass; Good Friday, Stations at 2:30, services at 3:00; Easter Vigil, 7:30 mass. These times are in the bulletin and on the purple Lent sheet at the Parish Office Table.

Lent is upon us. There are several free items at the Parish Office Table for you to use. Be sure to pick up a packet before or after mass.
- The Emmaus Journey Bible Study will begin on Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 pm -8:00 pm. It invites readers to study the seven short sentences uttered by Jesus as he endured his crucifixion, bringing the real meaning of Easter alive! This study will run for seven sessions starting on February 23rd and ending March 30th.
- Please pick up an Annual Catholic Appeal envelope and pledge card if you didn’t receive one in the mail at the Parish Office Table.
- Ash Wednesday masses are at 9am, 12pm and 6pm.
- We would like to have a choir for the Easter Vigil mass. If you are interested in joining, please give your name to Pam. You will be notified of practice times. Everyone is invited.
- We have received information from Hallow for Lent and is a wonderful ap. The flyers are at the Parish Office Table.

- Due to a shortage of paper, the envelope company that we use were unable to send the February envelopes. Please use the blue or white envelopes at the Parish Office Table or the ones in the pews. Please make sure you have your name and address on the envelope and which collection you wish the money to be put in. You can put 1st collection, Building Fund, Catholic Education or St. Vincent DePaul. We are sorry for the inconvenience. You should already be receiving your March envelopes.

- Las Posadas is December 16, 19-24 at 6pm. The weekends will be done at one of the masses. There will be posole or green chili stew served in the Parish Hall following the service.
- The 2023 Flower Sponsor paper is out. Be sure to get your dates early.
- The Knights will be selling Posole after all masses this weekend. Yum!! They are still taking orders for tamales and chili rellenos. They also have missals for $6.
- 2023 Calendars are at the Parish office table. Please only take one per family until all masses have had a chance to get one. Thank you.
- We celebrate this weekend Father Vincent's 20th anniversary of being a priest. There will be goodies after mass. Be sure to stop and congratulate him.

The upcoming holidays will be upon us soon. We are preparing for all the celebrations.
- Bingo is on Sunday at 1:00. See you there!

- We will have mass at 9am on Thanksgiving Day. The office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 24-25.

Nov. 4th,Happy Feast Day to our wonderful Parishioners. St. Charles is a wonderful example for all of us.
These are busy days with the holidays rapidly approaching. We will have a Thanksgiving mass at 9:00 am. The advent sheet of schedules will come out November 26-27.
- Beginning next Saturday, confessions will be at 3pm on Saturdays followed by the 4pm mass. This will be in effect until March 11.
- The Knights will once again be selling missals next weekend for the Sunday Masses for the next Church Year. It will begin with the 1st Sunday of Advent, November 27. They are $6.00
- Next weekend the Knights will be selling Green Chili Stew after all the masses. They will have to-go containers if you need them.
- Reminder that the bottles for Project Defending Life are due this weekend. We will be accepting them all month.
- Next weekend is Catholic Women’s Retreat. There are flyers at the table and in the bulletin.
- Bingo is coming quickly. We will have a Turkey Bingo on November 20 at 1pm in the gym. Bring a friend and spread the word.

We are now entering the last week in October and November is rapidly approaching. Be sure to check all the dates for the special masses in November.
- The funeral for Virginia Castillo will be October 28 at 10 am. There will be a rosary before mass (9:30) with internment at Mt. Calvary at 12:30
- The school is having their Halloween carnival on Friday, October 28 from 4pm-7pm. Attached is the flyer if you would like to prepurchase tickets. They are also in need of baked goods for the cake walk. If you would like to donate something, please take it to the school on Friday, October 28.
- November 1 is a holy day of obligation. Masses are 9 am (school), 12pm and 6pm
- November 2 is All Souls Day. Masses are 9am and 7pm.
- Confessions on November 5th will be at 1pm instead of 4pm.
- On November 12th we will begin our new Saturday evening schedule with confessions at 3pm and mass at 4pm. The 7pm mass doesn’t change.
- There will be a 9am mass on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th.

- The 5:30 Mass on Mondays has been cancelled due to the lack of interest.
- All Souls envelopes are at the Parish Office Table for your loved ones. They will be remembered at every mass for the week of November.
- The vote for the Saturday night mass change was 4:00. We will let you know that dates it will change as soon as possible.

We are approaching some special times in our Church calendar. All Saints Day, All souls Day, Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas. Here are the happenings at St. Charles this week.
- We are considering changing the 5pm Saturday evening mass to an earlier time during the winter (exception will be Christmas Eve).
Please vote on a time you prefer and then indicate if you do or would attend the mass. Papers are at the Parish Office table with a
box to put them in when you have filled the paper out. You can also put the papers in the collection basket.

I just received word that the funeral for Max Chavez has been moved to July 7, next Thursday. Times are still the same.
I am including in this email the information from the other email as I copied the database that is not as updated as this one. Hoping to include as many people as possible. Thank you.
Here is an update on Max Chavez's funeral. The rosary will be at 9:30 followed by mass at 10:00 on July 7 th at St. Charles Church. There will be a reception in the gym following mass. The staff is bringing desserts for the reception and anyone that wishes to bring a dessert also is welcome to do so. You can drop them off at the office before the services or Tuesday-Friday from 8:00-1:00. (Riverside Mortuary is handling the services)
The Elijio Velasquez family also had a death in the family , Eva's sister. They are having services on July 9 at 11am at Direct Services Morturary on 2919 4th St. SW for Doris Cortez.
Inez Maddalen passed away on June 23 and they are in the process of making arrangements for that funeral.

It is with great sadness that we relay this message to you from Rita Giannini, a dear friend of Max Chavez.
“Just wanted to share with you that Max Chavez our awesome artist is now working for our Creator.
He left on a nonstop flight to heaven at 10:04 Sunday evening. On Father’s Day.”
Max has been a member of St. Charles for most of his life. All of the woodwork in the Church is a gift of his great artistry that we cherish.
He is embedded in St. Charles and will be remembered with great love and missed by all.

This feast of the trinity invites us to consider what we believe about God, who has revealed himself to us in the Trinity—one God in three persons.
- See the attached obituary for Stella Gray. Her funeral in on Tuesday.
- In May, the convent was broken into and a fire was started in an upstairs room. There was extensive smoke damage. The number of incidents and homelessness in the area has increased exponentially and to keep this from happening again, we are in the process of alarming all of our buildings. You will find envelopes at the Parish Office Table in the lobby if you can help defray the cost of the system. We are need to raise $10,000 for this project. Thank you for all your support and help in keeping St. Charles safe.
- The youth are going bowling on Wednesday, June 15. If your child is in High School, please have them join in the fun,
- The funeral mass for Luis Sanchez in on June 21st at 11:00 followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. The rosary will be at 6pm on June 20th at St. Charles.

- Youth night is on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30. All high schoolers are invited. The focus is our faith, things and subjects that are important to high schoolers, service in the Church and of course, fun.

We have many activities happening at St. Charles this week. It is great to see the lobby at St. Charles alive with chatter and visiting after mass.
- The Knights will be setting up the GYM for Bingo on - Saturday, 5/14/22 starting at 2pm. Sponsors may bring the food items or door prizes during this time. You can also drop them off at the Parish Office Table before or after mass this weekend.
- BINGO is on Sunday beginning at 1pm. Come an enjoy some fun, food and community spirit.
- We have a wedding scheduled at 2pm at St. Charles on Saturday so there won’t be any confessions.
- We have lost Alfred Pino this week and his funeral arrangements are being finalized. We are holding May 20 at 9:00 for rosary and 10:00 for the funeral. I will send out more information when it has been finalized.
- There is a funeral on Tuesday, May 17 for Sheila Villegas (mother of Jos Gonzales) at 10am. The rosary will be at Riverside Funeral Home on Monday, May 16 at 6pm, further information can be found at riversidefunerals.com

- Jacob Nevarez and Kassandra Studerus Nevarez had a baby girl on April 24. Her name is Mariana Rosalia Nevarez. Please keep them in your prayers and rejoice in the joy of this new life in our St. Charles family.

- Sunday, April 24 is Mercy Sunday. That is this Sunday. There are services beginning at 1:30 with Confession. There will be a reflection at 2:00 followed by a Holy Hour. At 2:55, the Mercy Chaplet will be said followed by benediction. Please come and join in this special day.
- There is a blood drive in the gym on Sunday, April 24 from 10-1.
- The next Synod Listening Prayer Session is on Thursday, April 28 at 6pm.
- There will be a 1st Saturday mass every month beginning May 7th. This will be in our permanent schedule.

- We have a change for the Easter Vigil. Directives from the Archdiocese say that Mass for the Easter Vigil can not be before 8pm. Our mass here will begin at 8:00pm instead of 7:30.
- Holy Thursday mass is at 7:00. Good Friday begins at 2:30 with stations of the cross followed by services at 3:00
- Easter Sunday mass schedule is 9am and 11am. All of these dates are also listed in the bulletin
- We have Easter flower envelopes if you would like to make a donation and prayers for loved ones. Envelopes are in the back of church and at the Parish Office Table.
- Please join us for Bingo on May 15th at 1pm.
- Please save the date for the 2nd Synod Listening session on April 28 at 6pm.
- Jesse Ballou’s funeral is on Tuesday, April 12. Rosary is at 9:30am followed by mass at 10:00 am.

Here’s some news you don’t want to miss.
- Tuesday, April 12, is Jesse Ballou’s funeral. Rosary is at 9:30 and funeral mass is at 10am.
- Holy Week daily masses will be the regular schedule. Holy Thursday mass is at 7pm.
- Good Friday services are: Stations of the Cross at 2:30pm followed at 3pm by the service.
- Easter Vigil is at 7:30pm.
- Easter Sunday is 9am and 11am masses.
- There is reconciliation for the confirmation students on Wed, April 6th. You are welcome to join them if you wish.
- Rice bowls and Cans for 40 days of Lent are due this weekend. There will be bins in the lobby for the food and baskets in church and the lobby for the rice bowls.
- Be sure to save the date for the next Synod listening session on April 28 at 6pm. The first session went well and we would love to increase the numbers.
- There is a Come to Christ service in the church on Thursday, April 7 at 7pm. All are invited.
- Some dates to save for the end of April and May are: Blood Drive on April 24 in the gym. Bingo is back on May 15 at 1pm in the gym.

Good morning,
Many activities are approaching as we close out March and begin April. The Holy Week schedule is in the bulletin. Be sure to check it out for correct mass and service times.
- The Synod Listening Prayer service is this Thursday, March 31st at 6pm in church.
- April 1 is Soup and Stations sponsored by the Vietnamese Community. Mass is at 5:30 and Stations at 6pm followed by soup in the Parish Hall.
- Tuesday and Wednesday masses during Holy Week (April 11-a6) will remain the same. Thursday mass is at 7pm. Friday stations at 2:30 and service at 3pm. Saturday at 7:30pm. Sunday is 9am and 11am.
- Be sure to bring your rice bowls back next weekend—April 2-3. There will be baskets in the back and side of church and at the Parish Office Table. Also all items for 40 cans for Lent need to be turned in next weekend.
- Altar server and lector schedules are being sent out for April. We may be contacting you for readers for our Holy Week services. Thank you.
- We are finding used Kleenex left in church after the masses. We are still following the Covid guidelines for keeping others safe. There is a trashcan in the lobby and outside the side door. Thank you.

You will be receiving next weeks mass intentions and readings on Sunday. We won’t have a complete bulletin next week.
- Soup and stations are on Friday evenings at 6pm. Father is also doing a 5:30 mass prior to stations. All are invited.
- You are invited to attend a Synod Listening Prayer Session at St. Charles Church at 6pm on March 31st and April 28th. A synod is a Christian "assembly” where all parishioners from all age groups and all ministries are needed as we discern how God is calling us to Communion, Participation and Mission.
- Marty Rotella will be here on Sunday. I hope you will all be joining us for a wonderful concert of music and reflection.
- The Knights will be selling burritos after the Sunday masses.
- Every few years, the Knights of Columbus selects an icon of a saint whose patronage is particularly inspiring to Knights and their communities. Each jurisdiction receives one or several of these icons which travel from council to council and serve as the centerpieces for prayer services in parishes throughout the Order. The current Icon is of St. Joseph and is scheduled to be at St. Charles from March 19th to the 26th. The Icon will be placed in the sanctuary and the Knights will hand out prayer cards.

- Jesse Balou and Ursinia Hernandez (Barbara Studerus’ mother) passed away this week. Jesse Balou’s funeral will be on April 12th and we will keep you posted on Ursinia’s services.

Much is happening at St. Charles these next 2 weeks. We have many opportunities for you to take advantage of during lent.
- You will have several opportunities to go to confession during Lent. March 7 and 8 during the Lenten Mission; March 17 and 18 at 9:30am and on Saturdays from 4:00-4:45 pm.
- The March 22 reconciliation service has been cancelled. St. John the XXIII will be having a service that evening.
- There will be a 2nd collection this weekend for the Ukrainian refugees.
- We will be having a memorial mass on March 11 for Father Bob Chabot. It will be followed by Stations of the Cross for the repose of the soul of Fr. Bob. Soup will be served in the Parish Hall after stations.
- We have 2 other funeral masses to let you know about. You will receive a separate email with dates and times. William Clark and Rafaelita Perez.
- March 7th and 8th is our Lenten Mission. Fr. Leo will be conducting the mission. It will be a holy hour, a reflection on Lent, music, confessions and quite time for prayer.
- The Icon of St. Joseph and is scheduled to be at St. Charles from March 19th to the 26th. The Icon will be placed in the sanctuary and the Knights will hand out prayer cards.
- St. Charles is scheduled to pray for an end to abortion at the Clinic at 701 San Mateo NE on March 17 and April 7 from 7am-7pm. Please come and join at anytime during those hours.
- The Knights will be selling burritos next Sunday after mass. A nice treat before the Marty Rotella concert.
- Marty Rotella will be here on the 13th for the Sunday masses and a concert following the 11am mass.
- There are rice bowls and activity sheets, schedule of activities, and reflection booklets at the Parish Office Table.
- Soup and Stations will begin on March 11. Each night the soup will be provided by different ministries (staff, Knights, RE, Vietnamese and Lectors and Eucharistic ministers). If you are not in one of these ministries and would like to bring soup, please sign up at the Parish Office Table. All are invited to participate.

Let us pray for innocent people in Ukraine and around the world harmed by violence or instability, that God will bless, console and heal them.
Lent will be here on Wednesday. We have many opportunities to grow your faith during Lent and hope you can take advantage of them.
- Ash Wednesday masses are at 9am, 12pm and 6pm
- Lenten mission is March 7th and 8th at 6pm.
- Soup and Stations begin March 11 at 6pm. If you are not in one of the groups supplying the soup and would like to contribute, please sign up at the parish office table for the Friday night you would like to help out and you will be contacted.
- March 13 is our Concert and reflection with Marty Rotella. He will do the 9 and 11am masses and then a concert after the 11am mass.
- March 22 at 6pm is a Lenten Penance Service.
- March 31 and April 28 is our Synod Listening prayer services. All are invited. More information will come out next week.
- William Clark’s funeral is March 12 at 10am in the church
- The Knights do many wonderful things here at St. Charles. They need you. They will be in the committee room after the masses looking for new members. Please consider joining them.

Feb. 18th,Prayer is as natural an expression of faith as breathing is of life.
Many things are coming up in the next few weeks here at St. Charles.
- Ash Wednesday on March 2nd. We will have masses at 9am, 12pm and 6pm.
- Lenten Mission on March 7 and 8. Father Leo and Father Terry from the Franciscans will be conducting a holy hour, confessions and a spiritual reflection both nights beginning at 6pm.
- Soup and Stations begin March 11 at 6p and will continue every Friday during Lent.
- Marty Rotella will be here on March 13 at the Sunday Masses and a concert after the 11am mass.
- At this time, masks are optional at St. Charles. It will be wonderful to see those smiling faces again if you choose not to wear a mask. If you still prefer to wear a mask we will be dazzled by your smiling eyes.
- Father is offering Adult Confirmation classes. If you would like to join, please sign up at the parish office table.

Feb. 4th,What a beautiful snow we received on Wednesday. The much needed moisture was greatly appreciated.
Here are some St. Charles happenings:
- Father Sibunus will be doing a 7am mass in our chapel on Monday and Friday mornings.
- Marty Rotella will be performing once again at St. Charles in March. Save the date. You and your family won’t want to miss this opportunity. He will be doing the 9 and 11 am masses on March 13. He will do a concert from 12:15-1:30 on March 13.
He will also be doing the 9am school mass on March 10.
- Be sure to sign up soon if you want to sponsor flowers in the church. The dates go fast and we have the entire 2022 calendar ready.
- The Knights will be serving cookies after all masses next week as a Valentine treat.

We are nearing the end of January and moving into February this week. Here are some things happening at St. Charles.- First Friday adoration and mass is this Friday, February 4. Adoration at 6pm and mass at 7pm in the church.
- Come and join us at the 7pm mass on Saturday, February 5 for the Lunar New Year. We promise you will have a wonderful experience.
- The tax letters are at the Parish Office Table this weekend. Be sure to pick yours up. Please email me if you prefer email or want it mailed to you. Those that signed up for emails should have received yours on Wednesday.
- We are having Marty Rotella visit us once again. Look for the flyers and information. He is a singer, songwriter and evangelist who presents music and message to diverse audiences.
He will be here after the 11:00 mass on March 13 followed by Pizza and fellowship.

- You're invited to St. Charles School Open House. Thursday, January 20th from 10am -2 pm. Talk to our students and staff, tour the school, and ask lots of questions. You can schedule a tour with us via our website or call the front office.
- The Knights have delivered all the goodies from our giving tree to Casa Angelica, Birth Right, and Quidando Los Ninos. Over $4400 worth of goods were delivered. St. Charles you are awesome. Thank you.
- Levi Sanchez-Henry nephew of Angelica Sanchez-Clark passed away on December 17th. Please keep the family in your prayers. Funeral arrangements have not been completed yet. We will let you know when they are.

Good morning,Blessings of grace and peace be with you today and every day.
Advent is here and lots of activities are once again at St. Charles. There has been a slight change in Las Posadas services this year. The service will begin at 6pm followed b dinner in the parish hall. There won’t be a mass before the service.
- There is a craft fair, rummage sale in the gym this weekend from 10am-4pm and a blood drive on Friday from 10am-1pm.
- December 7 is our parish Reconciliation service at 6pm. Father will have a mass at 5:30. There will be several priests for individual confessions.
- December 8 is a holy day of obligation and masses will be 9am (school mass), 12pm, and 6pm.
- There are still advent books, calendars, and advent flyers at the Parish Office Table and tags on the giving tree.
- Our Lady of Guadalupe will be celebrated at the 9am and 11am masses. Each mass will be followed by Posole in the Parish Hall.
- You will not receive a bulletin or this email next week. Everything will be back to normal on December 17-19.

- Thanksgiving prayer cards are available at the Parish Office Table this weekend.
- No Religious Ed classes this week on November 24.
- The school is selling Luminarias for $12 a dozen. Order forms must be turned in with payment by December 6. Pick up will be on December 14 at the school. You can drive up in the back yard to get them.
- There won’t be a 1st Saturday mass in December.

- The Knights are taking orders for tamales and chili rellenos. Be sure to get your order in before December 12. They are also selling St. Joeph Sunday Missal Prayerbooks for 2022.
- This week is Catholic Campaign for Human Development. There is an envelope in your November envelopes or there are plenty of them at the Parish Office Table.
- BINGO is Sunday. Come and bring your friends for some fall fun.
- The 5pm mass and confessions on November 20th have been cancelled. We will be having a 7pm mass to celebrate the Martyrs of Vietnam.
- The office will be closing 11am on Wednesday, November 24th for Thanksgiving. There will be a 9:00 am mass on Thanksgiving Day.

Good morning,Praying that all are well and blessed each day by God’s wonderful love. Here are some happenings here at St. Charles.
- Bingo is next Sunday at 1pm in the gym. Bring family and friends for a fun afternoon. You may even win your Thanksgiving turkey. All moms would love that!!
- The Knights are once again taking orders for Tamales and Chili Rellenos for Christmas. All orders must be in by December 12. They are also selling St. Joseph’s missal for Sunday masses for next year. They will be in the lobby after all masses.
- You are all invited to the 9am mass on Thursday for Veteran’s Day. The school children have a wonderful service planned.
- November 20th is the celebration of the Vietnamese Martyrs. There will only be a 7pm mass that day. The 5pm mass will be canceled.
- The office will close early (11 am) on November 24th for Thanksgiving. There will be a 9 am mass on Thanksgiving day.
- The bulletin is full of information about all these events coming up. Be sure to look it over. You can also send in names of sick or deceased parishioners to be included on the back for all to keep in their prayers.
